Residents of Parkland get to enjoy a peaceful atmosphere with a beautiful landscape. The city is taken great care of, where nature surrounds its residents. Although it may be a city, Parkland focuses on protecting wildlife and giving citizens a chance to be part of it. Since it's so new, there may be longer wait times as people are flocking to try new food in the area, but it's definitely worth the wait. Little Havana Bar & Grill is yet another amazing restaurant in Parkland, dishing up delicious Cuban fare.
Parkland has several biking trails, perfect for getting in a morning or afternoon workout. Whether you're a casual rider or a professional one, there is at least one trail you can have fun on.
Things to Do
There are over 100 golf courses in and around Parkland, FL. Many golfers live in the area simply because of this fact. But you don't have to be a professional to go out and have some fun at one of the courses, as many courses have varying difficulties.
Barkland Dog Park is a park where you and your furry friend can run around. There are separate areas for large and small dogs, so your dog can play around with another furball of their size. Barkland also has a dog washing station, water fountains, covered pavilions, walking/hiking trails, benches, and picnic areas.
If you're a horse lover, you should head to The Equestrian Center at Temple Park. You can ride horses or simply walk around and enjoy the park’s scenery. The park also holds a farmer's market every year from November to April.
Another great place in Parkland is Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge. You can view all sorts of wildlife here across over 145,000 acres, making it one of the largest wildlife refuges in all of America. It's definitely worthy of taking a spot on your bucket list.
