Broward Mall is a great shopping spot in Plantation. It has tons of big-name stores as well as some smaller stores selling unique items, food, and clothing. It is a 1M square-foot mall, meaning it's large enough to hold just about any store. If you're a shopping lover, this is the place to go. Another mall you could check out near Plantation is Sawgrass Mills. It's twice the size of Broward Mall and has a lot more stores. It's a tourist hotspot for people visiting Fort Lauderdale.
If you're looking for a great place to eat in Plantation, try Tacocraft, a Mexican restaurant serving a variety of tacos, as well as quesadillas and tequila. When you're craving a taco, head to Tacocraft to calm your craving.
Riverside Market is a restaurant and store. They focus on serving draft beers and other liquor types, but they have a menu full of delicious food to try too. Grab one of their 650+ beers and pair it with sweet potato fries. Kaluz may be where you want to go if you’re craving some New American food. Kaluz is a fairly new restaurant in Plantation that serves lunch and dinner. Their menu is quite extensive, so you're sure to find something you like.
Borsalino is a European cafe right in the city of Plantation. It has a coffee bar and serves lunch and brunch daily. Their drinks are handcrafted, and their food is to die for.
Things to Do
Plantation Central Park is a lovely park to spend the day at, especially during the spring and summer months. Enjoy swimming, sports, playgrounds, and a multipurpose center for meetings and events. When you're not quite sure what you want to do with your day, you can never go wrong by heading to the park. Another place to visit is Heritage Park, with a lake, two playgrounds, a golf course, and a fitness trail.
Speaking of parks, Rock the Park is a live music festival held at Plantation Central Park each year. It's a free, family-friendly event where residents and tourists can enjoy live performances from local artists and food from the many vendors. Another notable event is the Wine, Jazz, and Taste of Plantation. It's the place to go if you're a lover of wine and jazz.
When looking for a neighborhood to settle down in, you should look at Jacaranda. Jacaranda is a luxury apartment complex in Plantation, with floor plans ranging from one bedroom to two bedrooms.
Schools
While there are a few notable schools in Plantation, the best one might be American Heritage Academy. It has the highest number of Presidential Scholar candidates in all of Florida.
